To set the time for the Calendar Clock, one moves the hands to the correct time. The alarm is controlled by the 7 day calendar below. This calendar has the days of the week spread across the top, and an hour by hour progression through the day running down the side. The user takes a computerized whiteboard plaque from the bin at the bottom of the clock and inserts it into a groove in the day/hour grid. The user can write on the chip with a normal whiteboard marker to remind him/her of an event in his/her schedule (ex. a class start time). The clock will read where the chip is inserted and will set its alarm to go off an hour before the earliest event for each day.
